  • Love our environment with - Earth Made Me

    VOTE

Earth Made Me has just launched from Melbourne and it's one of the only organic eco-fashion stores in Australia. Its creators, having been in the fashion industry for many years, were appalled at the amount of waste and damage occurring due to poor manufacturing processes. Now they're gearing up to change this, by giving Melbournites access to the best international eco-labels, all using the latest eco-friendly materials - just like Seacell fabric (made with seaweed yarn). Love their work.

  • Love accessorising with - Spencer and Rutherford

    VOTE

Melbournites love this local handbag designer. Known for making the most amazing handbags, clutches and totes, all Spencer and Rutherford pieces are individual and different to anything else around town. We especially love their limited pieces of 300 and the numbered plaques inside, that tell you how rare your bag is.

  • Love looking good in - Fair Weather Friends

    VOTE

Fair Weather Friends is a design collective from Melbourne. And because they know that Melbournites love rare and limited edition t-shirts, that's exactly what they're creating. Each t-shirt is limited to 100 pieces, never to be reprinted. So that means there's a very slim chance you'll find yourself sitting next to someone on the tram wearing the same thing. Nice.

  • Love eating out at - Nacional

    VOTE

Albert Park locals know that it's all about the Mushrooms on Toast at Nacional - their most popular breakfast. Lately, fans have also been talking about their classic Eggs Florentine and super yummy Feta & Spinach Omelets with organic bacon. But the best thing about Nacional, is how it turns into a Tapas Bar at midday. And the word is - they'll soon host wine tasting nights in their cosey wine cellar. We'll keep you posted.

  • Love watching - InFrame.tv

    VOTE

InFrame.tv is created here in Melbourne and it's fast becoming one of the most loved documentary vodcasts across the world. Their aim - to provide access to the thoughts, insights and inspirations of people who create. Everyone's still talking about their feature on creative genius Shaun Tan. And their next profile? It's Melbourne contemporary dance company Chunky Move and their show Mortal Engine of course.

  • Love visiting - Smitten Pets

    VOTE

Dog lovers, this is for you. Melbourne store, smittenpets.com.au have just sourced the most loveable dog toys from the US - Planet Dog. They've been given some serious road testing from two of the most destructive (but lovable) labs, so they can't be broken. We especially love seeing Melbourne parks everywhere, scattered with great looking dog toys. Nice.

  • Love listening to - The Temper Trap

    VOTE

Melbourne band, The Temper Trap know how to live it up around town. That's because their music is based on one simple philosophy - they are no different to us and just as we have sadness and joy, their music is a tale of their own ups and downs. Right now Melbournites in the know are jumping at their new single Science of Fear, to be released April 20. Myspace it up.

  • Love eating - Peking Duck

    VOTE

Our love for Peking Duck is so great, we could dedicate many LoveBentos to it. There's great places to get a duck fix in Melbourne, including Pacific House, Red Emperor and of course Flower Drum. And we especially love these Peking Duck snacks from Victoria St. But if Melbournites are going to start somewhere, it has to be Old Kingdom in Fitzroy. Order your duck (or in our case 'ducks') a day in advance, arrive and it's down to business with 3 amazing duck courses. Loved by many.

The loveable Future Systems architectural and design practice is known for producing highly original work. Their pieces are described as not only architecturally innovative and visually striking, but also pieces of highly functional equipment. Be inspired by Amanda Levete: Experimental Retail. We will.

  • Love hanging out at - The Stitches & Craft Show

    VOTE

This year across town, Melbournites are saying that craft is the new cool. So it's exciting to know that The Stitches & Craft Show is part of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program 09. And Living Creatively has announced that Faythe Levine will be a special guest at The Stitches & Craft Show Australian exclusive launch and premiere of Handmade Nation. In the world of crafters, artists and designers, there has never been such an anticipated indie documentary. Not to be missed.

  • Love hanging out at - Penthouse Mouse 09

    VOTE

We love pop-up galleries and Penthouse Mouse 09 is no exception. This temporary retail fashion, arts and events space in South Yarra is giving emerging labels and artists the opportunity to showcase their work during the fashion festivities. And the best bit, it incorporates a bar as well as a program of scheduled events and installations. Open every Sat from 10am-9pm till March 22. Love it.

[envelope] and MüCKE invite Melbourne fashionistas to create and make their own fashion statement. And for just $55 you also receive your very own [envelope] kit. • Love looking good in - Balmain

    VOTE

With the hottest crystal-embellished drummer boy jackets, super-skinny acid wash denim and studded high-waisted mini skirts - the race is on to get into Balmain this winter. Talented French designer Christophe Decarnin, has created these runway looks to die for. And they're now being delivered to Melbourne from our most loved netaporter.com...but hurry Balmain is selling out worldwide.

  • Love looking gorgeous with - Stila

    VOTE

Melbournites have been in love with Stila for a long time. And now, Stila has released its limited edition Barbie Loves Stila collection. It's all about getting the signature Barbie looks you love - to celebrate Barbie turning 50 this year. We especially love the Barbie Look Book which includes a history of each top-selling Barbie doll over the last 50 years.

  • Love hanging out at - Nerdigra

    VOTE

Why are pocket protectors and thick black plastic glasses everywhere across Melbourne town?  It's officially Nerdigras of course.  From March 5 to March 14 Melbourne nerds are joining the rest of world to celebrate the geekiest part of the calendar year. That's because March 5 is actually the square root of Christmas and March 14 is in fact 3.14, otherwise known as PI. So don't worry if you see an excess of Clark's shoes on our streets...it's a nerd fest. Love it.

  • Love eating out at - Animal Orchestra

    VOTE

Uni is back and nothing beats a long day at school than kickstarting at our most loved breakfast nook, Animal Orchestra. Hidden at the base of Melbourne Uni, you'll find their mouth-watering specials board hard to go past. But it's the baked eggs that everyone especially loves. Bask in the morning summer sun, coffee in hand with chorizo and potato baked eggs...loving it.

  • Love hanging out at - Tangerine

    VOTE

They call it 'the sweetest short film night in melbourne'. We know it as Tangerine. A brilliant night on the first Tues of every month where creative types get together to foster brilliant work - like Short Films, Music Videos, Docos and Animation. Next Tues Tangerine will feature a short film from the UK's Gerard Monaco (Straight 8 finalist), as well as animation from Head Pictures. See you there.

  • Love listening to - Johnny Rock and the Limits

    VOTE

With Melbournites claiming they're fast becoming our next big thing, it's no surprise that Johnny Rock and the Limits blew everyone away at the St Kilda Festival this year. Since releasing their second EP in 2008, these guys are gaining a live reputation across town. And the fans agree, with so many fav tracks...you have to see them for yourself.
