  • Love sipping on - Chocolate Suckao

    VOTE

We love rediscovering old favourites. A few years ago when Max Brenner first hit our shores we fell in love with the chocolate suckao. Our biggest problem? Did we want white, dark or milk chocolate? Nine years later and our chocolate suckao love is stronger than ever. It's the delicate art of melting our own hot chocolates that's irresistible!  Yum.

  • Love reading - Handmade in Melbourne

    VOTE

Hot off the press this book oozes the very essence of Melbourne. Created by Melbournians, it highlights the innovative crafty movement that resides in our city, capturing the creativity of our homegrown artisans.  Beware - shop-a-holics, craft-a-holics and market-a-holics will devour this beautiful book in just one sitting. Pure love.

  • Love eating out at - Amigos

    VOTE

While Melbournites love a good Mexican meal, it seems they love a good Mexican meal with a killer margarita even more. We stumbled on Amigos a few weeks ago and instantly feel for their friendly service, amazing food and dangerously drinkable Grand Gold margaritas. A must have.

  • Love accessorising with - Lucy Folk

    VOTE

Lucy's collection of whimsical jewellery is rapidly garnering a dedicated following. Fusing together some of LoveBento's most favourite things - jewellery and food - her pieces are as amusing as they are enthralling. With collections that are inspired by pasta and nibbles, and cast in luxurious solid silver and 18ct gold, we have fallen in love with the the bow pasta rings, the bling worthy doritos necklace and the pretzel brooches. Love.

  • Love eating out at - Lulo

    VOTE

If you're looking for great tapas and you haven't booked two months in advance for Movida (which we love), then Lulo is the place to be. With a fabulous wine list and one of the hottest tapas menus in town, Lulo is one to experience. We particularly love the encrusted scallops, the to-die-for squab and the green tomato salad. Delicious.

  • Love eating out at - Mitte Cafe

    VOTE

Named after the famous cafe quarter of Berlin, the reinvention of Mitte in 2008 has done it's namesake proud. With fresh crumble for breakfast and a three cheese omelette that sees die-hard fans cross town, Mitte has established itself as one of the most loved cafes in North Fitzroy. And while local Melbournites can't stop raving about the food, it's the drinks we really love...fresh lemonade straight from the 50s? Yes please.

  • Love eating out at - Sushi Ten

    VOTE

Sure, if your looking for sushi in the city there seems to be a shop on every street corner. But if you want amazing sushi, it's a lot harder to find. But now Bento-ites, look no more ...at the risk of giving away one of our favourite sushi haunts and queuing for lunch, we just have to tell you about Sushi Ten. Tucked away down Port Phillip Arcade between Flinders St and Flinders Lane you'll find bowls of soupy goodness, sashimi to die for and the mixed don of all mixed dons. It's pure love.

  • Love design by - Found n Bound

    VOTE

While the temptation of a new moleskin can sometimes be overwhelming, Melbourne based notebook creators, 'Found n Bound' offer an irresistible and most loveable alternative. Cleverly, 'Found n Bound' find old novels and replace their well worn pages with fresh new sheets for your ideas. With titles such as  'The Mystery of the Moaning Cave' and 'One Act Plays of To-Day', your notebook will soon be the talk of town.

  • Love hanging out at - Linden - Centre for Contemporary Arts

    VOTE

The collision of creativity is always guaranteed to create a few sparks and tonight sparks are certain to fly at the opening of 'Persuasion Invasion' at the Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts. Fans compare it to an artistic version of the Masterchef invention challenge - where three curators work with same five artists to create three vastly different exhibitions. It all happens at six tonight - so come down and decide who's your master-curator.

  • Love eating out at - Roule Galette

    VOTE

There's no doubt that from the minute you walk in, you'll fall in love with the tiny French Creperie, Roule Galette. Tucked away off Flinders Lane, Melbournites all over are loosing themselves in its images of French countryside and the Parisian hip-hop heard faintly over the French-speaking voices from the open kitchen. But the best bit of course? The crepes. For savoury try the Flore, and for sweet... bon apetit.
