The Cat's Meow is tucked away in the subway between Degraves St and Flinders St Station and has been housing some of Melbourne's most loved designers since 2002. The ever changing window display from Jolet's new line to Lekker's resin badges and are bound to make you miss your train.

    Lazy weekends away at the beach or countryside have never been more stylish...with the now celeb famous Hunter boots. Big in London, lately we've spotted Melbourne fashionistas sporting them around town. Besides being super comfy, they also come in gorgeous red and green plus more.     On those crisp, blue-sky Melbourne mornings (just like today)...Melbournites search for a cafe destination to take them into Spring. And so it makes sense that more and more LoveBento fans are discovering Carousel, tucked away on Albert Park Lake. Here, overlooking the water and swans, Carousel serves the most yummy breakfasts. And for lunch, we can't go past the smoked chicken salad. Will become a Spring favourite.

    This eco friendly business is the talk of Melbourne town. To minimize their carbon footprint Grumpy's Green source all the ingredients for their delicious vege menu, as well as their beers, from right here in Victoria. Grumpy's even have water tanks to catch the scarce Melbourne rain - which is then used to flush their toilets and water their plants. Love green Melbourne.

  • Love visiting - A State of Design 2009

    A State of Design in Melbourne's own design festival and it hits July 15-25. The theme this year is Sampling the Future and is set to expose the dynamism of Melbourne designers.  The lineup includes surreal, futuristic landscapes from Cloud 19, the Portable Film Festival @ Fed Square and the night themed Convergence @ Yarra Lane.  With over 60 exciting and diverse events and exhibitions this is sure to get Melbournites talking.

  • Love visiting - Blindside Gallery

    We love the Nicholas Building. With it's old-school lifts and corridors of art studios it is easy to lose a Saturday afternoon wandering the halls. However, the must-see of the building is Blindside gallery. Hidden on the seventh floor this artist run space is right on the cutting edge of the Melbourne art scene. This weekend venture up the lift in your best artsy black to discover the work of Sophie Knezic amd Simone Hine.

  • Love eating - Little Cupcakes

    It's official. Melbourne had joined the international cupcake craze. And why not? Little Cupcakes offers the most amazing, melt-in-your-mouth cakes that look so perfect you almost don't want to eat them. We are obsessed with the red velvet cupcake...super light cocoa butter cake with a generous smothering of vanilla cheese cream. Worth every cent.

  • Love a few drinks at - Der Raum

    Tucked away just out of reach of the mainstream crowds, this boutique Richmond bar is cocktail heaven. Fueled by good tunes, dim lights and spirit bottles suspended from the ceiling with straps, it's no wonder the place was voted 3rd best bar in the world earlier this year.  With fresh hand-pressed juice and top notch spirits and liqueurs, each concoction is a must try. Love.

  • Love eating out at - Two Fingers

    There are only so many times you can eat sushi and focaccias for lunch, but, luckily for us LoveBento-ites, there's Two Fingers. Tucked behind the Forum, on Russell St, Two Fingers has the most delicatable lunches. Fans can't choose between the to-die-for green curry roti, cannelloni or the soup of the day. We promise that after only one visit you'll be a regular. Yummy.
